Garhwa: The roller machine installed in Mangrahi village of Ramkanda police station area of the district was burnt by bike-borne criminals last night. The roller machine was engaged in road strengthening work from Mangarhi School to Belvadamar. It is said that for the last one week, the roller engaged in the construction work of the said road was standing on the Belvadamar bridge near Mangrahi village. There the road construction work was going on.
On Monday night, two persons who arrived on a motorcycle reached the roller and set it on fire after spraying petrol. It is noteworthy that the construction work of the said road is going on for the last two months at a cost of about two crores under the State Sustainable Scheme. To complete the remaining works in this construction work, the roller was standing on the side of the Belvadamar bridge.
At present, Naxalites or criminal gangs are behind the burning of the roller, it has not been confirmed. It is being feared that some new militant organization may also be behind this. After the incident, Ramkanda police station in-charge Shivlal Gupta reached the incident site late in the night and inquired about the matter and has started taking further action.
Here, on the morning of the incident on Tuesday, Ranka SDPO Sudarshan Kumar Aastik investigated the matter. He said that on the application of the sensor, an FIR has been registered against unknown people. At present, the police is investigating about the people involved in the incident. The matter will be disclosed soon.
