GARHWA: MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi met the Chairman of SAIL Authority of India Limited Shobha Mandal in New Delhi on Friday and demanded to set up a cement factory or steel factory on the closed institution located at Bhawnathpur.
He has urged the chairman that Bhavnathpur township once used to have the country's largest limestone crusher plant, where it is situated on a plot of around 4000 acres including rail line, township, dam. He said that it is unfortunate that the crusher plant is closed for the last 25 years, as well as the limestone mines, are also closed.
The township built by SAIL has also become dilapidated. SAIL also has dolomite mines located in Tulsidamar in the said area. Which has been closed for the last one and a half years. He said that the establishment of a new industry can be done very comfortably through SAIL on the said plot. He said that whatever is the basic requirement for setting up any industry, it fulfills all.
He started Tulsidamar Dolomite Mines, Ghaghra Lime Stone Mines, and started cement factories, steel plants,s or other industrial establishments in Bhavnathpur township, directly or indirectly, thousands of people will get livelihood support. He has urged that keeping in mind the aspirations of the people, please restore the industrial city again.
He said that the Chairman of SAIL has assured to form a committee on all these things. MLAs Naveen Jaiswal, Alok Chaurasia were present on the occasion.
