BANSHIDHAR NAGAR: SDO reached hospital in case of nutritious food, report summoned.

Banshidhar Nagar: SDO Alok Kumar has taken serious note of misappropriation in the amount of nutritious food given to women after delivery in health centers and playing with their health.

On Tuesday, he reached Shri Banshidhar Nagar Sub-Divisional Hospital and examined the nutritious diet given to the maternity. During this, Block Account Manager Karuna Kumari told the SDO that one packet of dry food grains are given to the pregnant women in the morning and evening.

Expressing displeasure over the quality of nutritious food during the investigation, the Deputy Superintendent of the hospital Dr Suchitra Kumari was directed to submit the report.

Talking to reporters after the investigation, SDO Alok Kumar said that for the past several days, complaints were being received in the hospital about playing with the health of women and corruption in the nutritious food given to the maternity.

During the prima facie investigation, it was found that there has been a discrepancy in the nutritious diet given to the women after delivery. Instead of one hundred rupees dry ration worth Rs 35 to 45 is being given which is wrong. He said that the hospital management is being negligent.

The SDO said that the government is spending crores of rupees to promote institutional deliveries. Even after that women are not getting proper benefits. On the contrary, the health and well being of women is being played with which will not be tolerated.

He said that the Deputy Superintendent of the hospital has been directed to give a report related to the entire matter. Strict action will be taken against the guilty after the report is received. The guilty will not be spared under any circumstances.
